Resource Description

ChIN was constructed on an information base approach other than a merely collection
of chemistry related links at the very beginning in 1997. The description data that outlines the resource briefly
is created for each indexed resource in ChIN. With ChIN-Manager, the ChIN's editing tool
available in 2001, different data models have been defined to help editing proper description data
for different type of resources indexed in ChIN. A summary page for each indexed resource can be
generated automatically from the data and published on ChIN site.
To browse a resource
description data, just click the Details link on the right of ChIN pages whenever the list of resources are displayed.
